Poster Presentation

Your presentation posters has to be printed, and you have 24 hours left till the deadline and hasn’t started. Let me help you out.

It is recommended to use PowerPoint over Google Slides as PowerPoint provides more utility in terms of formatting and poster design. For collaboration, try the PowerPoint sharing function, you can even create a link and have real time editing like Google Slides.

Design Standards

• Commonly, posters are 4ft (width) by 3ft (height). For some interesting designs, try having a portrait design. If your presentation is code heavy, the extra vertical space might create a more aesthetically appealing design.

• Use your institution’s color to represent them! Usually, institutions will have their own color themes with specific design standards, search around!
  • For Northwest Missouri State, check out the Institutional Graphic Standards for proper logo usage. And use #006747 as your main color.
• Remember to print your finished posters at least 2-3 days before the presentation date! Any printing place would do. For Northwest Missouri State, go to the printing office north of Valk. A glossy poster costs about 36 Dollars Freedom Units.
